No, that's too concrete. Maybe something more generic (that could be used in other contexts) like "source"?
"source" sounds too generic to me. How about "database" - that's bound to become more important in the future and I think I'm already seeing a trend to require this in more styles. Plus, that's what the requirement really is about.
Let me be clear: my suggestion was only about the CSL end of the equation. Does that make more sense then?
But I still don't see why it's too generic for the UI (particularly if there can be a tool-tip description?).
"source" in CSL sounds fine to me. I'd leave the Zotero UI and field name untouched for now-- we just finished migrating these into Library Catalog not that long ago.

MLA style includes the library catalog/database through which an article has been accessed. journalArticle has the "Library Catalog"/libraryCatalog field, but there doesn't seem to be a suitable CSL variable to map it to. Maybe we should add a catalog variable to CSL?
