Hey @Joe-Winchester, Thanks a lot for today's conversation with a few members of the team. I forgot to get to this issue during said call, my apologies for that.
What sort of icon you would expect to see for a CICS region that is managed by CICSPlex SM?
Here is what it looks like today:
If you could, please share a picture of how the whole plex is represented in the IBM CICS Explorer.
Hi Fernando, in the above screen shot your region is likely a direct connection because the connection shows it beneath the profile. For a plex if the connection is made without a scope all regions are children and it's generally easy to see that they're plex managed.
The issue occurs if the profile is connecting via a scope so the regions appear beneath the profile. Not sure what the icon should be, but maybe the two cogs should have lines connecting them (similar to the plex icon). Or maybe the overall CICS region graphic should just be a single cog and the plex is multiple.
What is the policy on using colours ?
Hey Joe, Thanks for providing more info.
I don't believe there are any policies that prevents us from using colors. We should be fine as long as we keep a few things in mind for accessibility purposes. For example: there is enough contrast, or the use of color shouldn't be the only differentiator between resources.
I believe the request here is to come up with an icon to replace the plain folder/directory icon next to Regions
. Please correct me if I'm wrong 😋
