since the mac version doesn't work, i used the windows version via bootcamp.
awesome program! but i have one issue. i have already started the process of
converting my flac and shn files to apple lossless. i am halfway done, and
noticed that boottunes wont work with alac!! aaaahhhhhh! any hopes of
supporting alac?

So you have files in ALAC already, but want to have the files re-tagged?

before, when things were simple, my programs would read folder names and the
songs file name. a very nice and easy way to access music..my problem is that
stupid itunes only supports lossless in their own proprietary ALAC format and
requires this tag info bs! after years of not listening to my loved shows, i
started to convert them. im about 1/2 way. 99% of my bootlegs dont have tags,
but they all have the .txt file describing the show and setlist. this program
will read the txt file, artwork, and create a proper tag right? Do other
programs do that?

oh wait... your program converts from flac/shn to ALAC... oh... i see. i cant
just change tags? it must convert? Thats cool! wish this project came out a
long time ago, cause its necessary! any chance of just implementing a tagging
feature?? or maybe know of another dev who is working on getting tag info from
the txt?

I can add ALAC as a supported starting format pretty easily, and since the
files will already be in the target format, no conversion will be necessary.
In order for this to work, though, your text files will need to be located in
the same folder as the files they describe. Are your ALAC-converted shows set
up that way?

beautifully!

ALAC support added. It will be in the next release.

As for beta testing, you're already doing it, and it's much appreciated.
