What happens when you try to add them? Is there any error message?

im sorry, thought i added more info. but no, there is no error message.
boottunes acts as if it accepts the folder, but then nothing. the shows are
already in alac format.
i also have a problem with shows not converting completely. some shows just
have some songs missing after conversion. i have found some of them in the "not
added" itunes folder. i just delete the converted show and try to convert
again. but i have no idea why. or even where to begin to send you some sort of
diagnostic info.

Are you trying to add several shows at once? If you are adding multiple shows
at once and some or all of them have an issue preventing them from being
accepted, BootTunes won't display a message but will simply not add the show to
your queue. If you aren't already doing so, try adding the problem shows one
at a time.
For diagnostic info, you can always check if messages are being logged to
Console.
When you end up with missing songs and you reconvert the show, does that fix
it? When you "convert" a show that's already in ALAC format, it only copies
the files and changes the tags. Does iTunes have any problems playing these
files as they are, before BootTunes copies and tags them?

for adding multiple shows at once, i have noticed that boottunes will not add
the shows with errors. just sets them aside.
because of that, i do add the shows one at a time, while adding to the queue in
boottunes. when i get a good amount of shows, ( sometime 10, 0r 15 ) in the
Boottunes queue, i then convert the shows all together. i havent really tried
converting one show at a time.
as for the shows that will not add, boottunes acts like the show has an error,
but no error message. i will concentrate on one show, see if the songs play in
itunes, and give you an update.
shows with missing songs : ill have to try converting certain shows again. i
originally tried converting 10 or so shows and out of that many only a few came
back with missing songs. i then tried to convert the shows that didnt import
properly again. if i remember correctly, the shows converted fine. there may
have been one that missed its songs.

I've just encountered a show that does the same thing. The error logged to
Console looks like this:
*** Error: ID3v2 tag found at start of FLAC file. Please remove with
tracklint(1)
Are you getting this same error?

log file from one of the shows that will not import. this one acts like it

Track numbers in brackets? Who does that?
The next version will allow you to fix the text right in the "Comments" window
and click a "Refresh Tracklist" button to load in the track names once you've
fixed the issue.
