<movie>.cover.jpg function not working #150

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Placing a file named <movie>.cover.jpg in the same directory as <movie> 
the thumbnail for the movie does not get replaced by <movie>.cover.jpg
Ex:
For movie file Batman - The Dark Knight - DVD.m2ts
Neither of the following replace the thumbnail
Batman - The Dark Knight - DVD.cover.jpg
Batman - The Dark Knight - DVD.m2ts.cover.jpg
