Movie search button (square) not working properly #210

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Playback an 720p movie
2. Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, Gigabit Ethernet, Windows 7 / XP
2. Press square to advance to e.g. 10th minute
3. Network working, CPU load high, waiting for 3+ minutes and still the 
movie hasn't jumped to the desired minute. Processor is more than 
adequately fast to handle this task, I think.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Movie doesn't jump to the minute specified. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

If you are transcoding a media file, which engine are you using (mencoder, 
avisynth/mencoder, tsmuxer?)

mencoder with subs
