Or at least investigate what these tools provide. Although probably the ultimate and better solution is #198 .

Hi @zshamrock, I see you use FXLauncher as the auto-updater and try to migrate to JDK 11+. Currently, FXLauncher does not support past JDK 8.

Have a look please at my project https://github.com/update4j/update4j which is similar in design to FXLauncher but with quite a different mindset.
