Update to CDE 2.3.2 on fc34, no looking back (i.e. no backward compat… #18

@zssfred I have updated to CDE 2.3.2 and made the necessary adaptions for building on fc34.

This is what it does:

I am assuming a recent Fedora version since I cannot really test my code on older versions.

  • the call to installCDE has changed
  • old patches no longer apply (and are obsolete), hence removed
  • more recent compilers no longer forgive variable definitions in headers (hence they need to be made external and defined elsewhere once), all bundled in one patch
  • new CDE version in sources
  • the package xorg-x11-server-utils no longer exists in fc34 (obsoleted by xstdcmap)
