Product adjustment/sort #22

Need to have the ability in the admin for control of what products get set to the top.

I will forward text I got from the customer explaining what they are looking for.

I added a plugin called Merchandising Made Easy which allows the listing of products by manual order.

How it works: For each category and subcategory, there is a new tab called Merchandising in the admin panel. You can click and drag the blue cross arrows under position. When all items have been sorted, click on Save Category.

I did this for this category https://dev.modernfurnishings.com/living/custom-sectionals Note some products are disabled so they will be ignored in the sort order even though they show.

An extra step is to remove the various "Sort by" items in the front end drop menu. This can be done, in the Display Setting tab, only leave checked the Best Value option and the "Default Product Listing Sort By" also as Best Value.

Hey Jose, client is good with the changes, let me know if I need to push files to live site and anything else. but they like to get this live asap 👍 Thanks!

Hello Ryan,

Yes, you will need to push the files for the Merchandising extension to live. From there, the client will just need to go into each category and there will be a tab for merchandising like the screenshots I provided. They'll need to rearrange the top items and save.

Hey Jose, ok files are on production. If you can go on and make sure all settings and everything in the admin is set? Once that is done, log time and you can close this issue 👍 Thanks!
