Hi @zsviczian

We absolutly need a GTD plugin like yours available in Obsidian. How to install this one ?

zsviczian commented 1 year ago

If you want to give it a try, you can download the main.js, styles.css, and data.json files from here: https://github.com/zsviczian/Obsidian-GTD-plugin/releases/tag/v0.61

create an obsidian-gtd-plugin subfolder under your .obsidian (hidden) folder within your Vault, and enable the plugin from community plugins. It should work, though I've not used this for about a year now. I explain my current approach in this video: https://youtu.be/qIKg_1FNUgk

Hi @zsviczian

Thanks for reply. Very interesting. Your approach interests me. But don't you use dates for your tasks ? Don’t use the tasks plugin anymore ? 🤔

I am not a fan of deadlines, I rather work based on priorities. Too much focus on deadlines drivers a balance to always focus on the urgent and rarely on the important. If something is really time bound, I add it to my calendar and potentially create a note to self on a future daily note. Otherwise I want to see actions in the context when I can do something about it (e.g. see actions I discussed with a colleague when we are in a meeting together). I review my priorities independent from the open todos on my list.

Thank you for this clarification. I've tried many things in this area over the years and have struggled to find an optimal GTD operation. I'll try to slide towards your system especially since I'm reorganizing my PKM in a more general way at a new job.... and with the marvellous Excalibrain ! Thanks 👍🏼
