FR?: preview settings not saved in vault #1831

When I opened my vault on another computer, not all excalidraw settings restored themself.
specificly preview in markdown option under the appearance and behaviour tab in the excalidraw plugin settings

Describe the solution you'd like Most plugins save all settings in the .obsidian folder. it'd be great if this one did that too for all settings.

Describe alternatives you've considered try manually restore settings and hope there's nothing else i missed

Additional context I use git to share my vault between devices.

PS: not sure if a feature request or bug. is it supposed to do this, or is this a new feature

Excalidraw does save settings to .obsidian using Obsidian API. It could be that after sync you need to restart Obsidian for the synced settings to take effect.

I did restart it afterwards

I had the issue with

  1. Copy paste the folder to somewhere else
  2. Reopen the vault in obsidian
  3. When asked. Do you trust this project/ want to enable plugins click yes
  4. Wait till indexing was done

So assume it's not github syncing related
