doorbell-v3.0 stopped working... #13

Hi There,

A couple of weeks ago I bought and installed a doorbell-v3.0. After wiring everything up properly and configuring the thing through Home Assistant it seemed to work fine; testing was successful.

About a week ago the doorbell-v3.0 seems to have stopped working, however. It's got power (from the transformer; the red led is on), but when I short the wiring for the switch nothing happens anymore. Tried power cycling but that hasn't solved the issue. Also tried turning the chime off and then on again, but that didn't help either.

What else can I try? (Or must we conclude that the hardware has died?)

Same issue here. The bell runned perfectly for a few weeks. Now it doesn't respond to the switch. IMG_20240221_224131 When looking at the capacitor, I noticed that it has a slight bulge. Could this possibly be related to the lack of switch detection?

Mine seems to suffer from the same (slight) bulge. Unfortunately no 'before' picture, so hard to determine if it's abnormal.

I'll leave that to Marcel ;-)

UPDATE:

After contacting the supplier I could return the faulty PCB and received a new one in return (including a 3D-printed enclosure). Great service, thanks for that!

It took me some time to re-install / re-configure the new PCB because the fusebox is not easily accessable, but got it done today. See the attached picture.

Everything works as it should again. Hope it keeps working!

Same here. I've got a modified PCB. Since that it running without any issues since several weeks!
