IE problem using content only #121

I can't seem to get a slider featuring all div content to work in IE9, 8 or 7. It works fine in every other browser, but just shows the nav arrows, timer, and a full width, 1px high content area in all versions of IE.

If I change one of the slides to an img or a tag it works fine again.

Modernizr?

I wasn't using modernizr, I just want to use the orbit script, I have no need for the rest of the foundation script. Is modernizr required now?
