I'm a fan of Mermaid I added it to your theme and thought I'd share. The additions are trivial and easy to follow. If you have any questions just asked.

Hey @mtompkins

thank you for your PR. Mermaid looks pretty cool, but I really think that this is an individual feature and shouldn’t be part of the main project.

I hope you understand that.

Anyway, this PR should be useful for others with the same need ...
