i have extracted everything using the extractor that says the official repository. now how do i go on? there is no specific folder with live2d

Could you please clarify what you mean by the ‘official repository’? Are you referring to the resource files of a certain game, or the original extraction software?

The operation steps of this extraction software are the same as the original extraction software. If you follow the normal extraction steps, you should see a folder named ‘Live2dOutput’ generated in your directory, which contains the extracted files.

I mean the repository you forked to: https://github.com/Perfare/UnityLive2DExtractor

And yes, that's what I meant. Although I do see traces of models

If you’re extracting from a mobile online game, the game resources might be divided into two parts. One part is located within the APK that you directly downloaded, which you can generally see by unzipping the APK file. The other part is downloaded from the game server when the game is running or during the first launch, and it can usually be found in the data folder. If you’ve only checked one part and haven’t found the ‘live2d’ folder, you might want to try looking in the other part.

Also, we generally use AssetsStudio, or similar resource browsers, to check the possible location of the live2d files. You can use these tools to find the location first, and then use this extractor for extraction.

In addition, some games might not use live2d to display animations. Spine and DragonBones are also commonly used 2D animation tools, and some games might even directly use frame animations or play videos. So, if you can’t find live2d, you can try using AssetsStudio to look for other things.
