Has this project been abandoned? It's a shame if you don't have time for it/writing anymore.

I've used the text (and whatever I could read of the code) to start something based on these ideas. I found it all very helpful. and I learned a lot. I would love to read and see more from the author of this project!

This is not dead, but it is lying dormant -- and that drives me nuts. I have been forced to take some work in areas that have extremely limited connectivity lately, but should be able to resume work on this project (and a few others that should be of use to the community) soon.

I'll leave this open until I'm able to turn my full attention back to it. Thanks for the encouragement. Don't be afraid to bother me about it from time to time.

I just finished reading what you had written on writing a MUD in Erlang. I was sad to notice that it is still in the process of being written. Seeing what you wrote above and how much time has passed I was wondering if this project was going to be started up again? I would really love to explore more of the process of your MUD creation.

@frankhale Every time I get a message like this it makes me feel sad because I really want to get back on this!

At the moment I'm focused on paying projects and zomp/zx (a distributed source repo and suite of related code tools here: http://zxq9.com/projects/zomp/ -- I need to make package propagation work properly and then I can push it, even if it's still a little messy).

Once I release that I'll set aside 5 hours per week for ErlMUD.

No worries and thank you for the bits that are in your ErlMUD commentary (link below for anyone that is not aware)!!! I stumbled upon this because I am (or was) in search of the perfect platform to write my own MUD server and game.
