After the problem with "getconections" method
(http://code.google.com/p/switchy/issues/detail?id=79) this one seems to be
much
easier to solve. What file or environment variables does switchy try to
access/change?
Maybe I need to chmod those files in order for it to run properly?

I wonder why alongside the Gnome/KDE stuff, Switchy doesn't read the more
commonly used system-wide proxy variables as "http_proxy" or "ftp_proxy"

I really appreciate your work, but I cannot enjoy it under linux for no proper
reason :)
