[Feature Request] No screw designs #4

Really great work on these designs @zygmuntw! Like the fact that it is a permissive license and that there are source files for each of the boards!

Have you ever considered doing 3D Printed only versions of the cases which don't require self-tapping screws as sometimes screw types can be hard to source?

We like your designs a lot so we may remix it if you no longer are maintaining this projects or if you're looking for someone to collaborate with would be happy to discuss!

Our priority would probably be UNO first but it may be a good idea for anyone who wants to learn openscad to start with.

@darigovresearch Not sure if you already remixed the case since this issue has been filed. I also wanted to a version without use of screws and I have recreated the Uno case in Fusion 360. Here are STLs for my remix: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4706281

@morozgrafix thanks for getting back to us and for the update on the screwless design! No we hadn't had the time to try to attempt this since we posted. Do feel free to close this issue. Out of curiosity how come you choose fusion 360 instead of continuing with OpenSCAD?

morozgrafix commented 3 years ago

@darigovresearch I'm not the original designer of the case or owner of this repository. I needed to print a case and wanted to add some improvements for my own needs. Just noticed this issue filed and shared my STLs. Let me know if it worked for you.

@morozgrafix ah cool well thanks for taking the time to make a screw less model and for letting us know! We'll have a go and let you know the results when we manage to get one printed!

Happy new year!
