It sounds reasonable to add symbols to the interface, but for the moment I'd say it's a lower priority polish level addition.
Low priority - absolutely. I personally like making these kinds of designs and if we set a technical ground for a future art contribution - that'd be a nice start.
https://github.com/memononen/nanosvg may be an appropriate library to load up such icons from .svg formats
I thought that designing a set of custom icons for Zyn-Fusion would improve the readability and it'd make if easier to navigate the interface.
I think it could make some elements easier to recognize, and smaller in pixels too - improving readibility.
If this is agreed upon I think we should list the needed icons and agree on file format and naming, standard dimensions, maybe design a template file that should be used for all designs. And then organize graphic designers to create the symbols. Probably SVG would be the best option for a scalable interface.

This is a rather long-term project, not a killer feature probably but something that could add polish to Zyn-Fusion and improve the UX and usability as well.
