Do we need both Linux Sampler and Sfizz? #665

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. There are two SFZ players available in Zynthian: Linux Sampler and Sfizz. They both seem to do the same task.

Describe the solution you'd like Decide which is the better SFZ player to retain and lose or make optional the other. Maybe, if there are some features each has the other does not we could offer an option in webconf to enable each, similar to LV2 configuration.

Describe alternatives you've considered Leave as is.

Additional context This has been discussed in the forum and occasionally caused confusion. It would be a better user experience to have one good SFZ player.

I use the freely available Mellotron Gigastudio instrument with Linux Sampler. Does Sfizz support Gigastudio instruments?
