I've had that problem back when I used Ubuntu with apt-get (in whatever terminal emulator). I've read that a lot of people had/have that problem. I haven't encountered it ever since I've switched to Antergos (Arch) 6 months ago, but given that the problem is still there with apt-get on Ubuntu, it doesn't suprise me that Pacman also has this problem. You'd be better off filing a bug with sudo instead.
So Im doing in gnome3 dropdown terminal extension
and when it ask if I really want it
it just wont accept Enter it just will put "^M" (like ctrl+M) there. But sometimes it works I dont get it...
After turning off then on that terminal extension it works again.

Maybe it is sudo related.
It seems to happen in other terminals to. So it is not a bug of this extension, although still a problem.
