no unicode in buddy list names #222

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. buddy list in unicode..
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
non ansi language (eg: english shows up great on the contact list, unicode 
doesnt)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0.2

unicode in messages works just fine, only unicode in buddylist doesnt

Also in Buddy list statuses & input. There isn't just English keyboard =)
