FIXED : See next post.

This really is a reoccurring issue and every time, it appears and go randomly, still, it's very bothering, i don't know what's up with it...

Anyways, i load a vfx ( any vfx ), i load a vfx being replaced ( any armor ) and vfxedit will simply not display the vfx on it, no matter what, i'm forced to use the "Spawn" button to make it appear on me but this doesn't help since when i export, the mod is not displaying anything once enabled in penumbra basically.

I check the option "vfx" when i export and still, the resulting mod does nothing, either exported as penumbra, or textool, the result is the same.

I will never understand where this issue come from, sometimes there is no problem as i said...

I've uninstalled and re-installed vfxedit to no avail.

If i can do anything to help resolve this weird issue, or if there is any available ressources already out there to resolve it, let me know.

As a fair warning though, i have no clue how to make a log of anything right now.

Ok so for anyone out there that wonder and are new to this like me :

The exported mod was LIKELY to be functional, the issue was with the fact that somehow, i needed to add the actual item to penumbra advanced editing, ( advanced editing on the mod -> meta manip -> Variant edits (IMC) ) and there make sure the VFX ID AND Sound ID were set to 1 ( Sound because the VFX had a sound effect attached to it )

After that, the mod worked, HOWEVER, the update button on vfxedit still didn't work, but i suspect it has to do with the fact that i used an armor VFX path modified through textool, textool using another install folder than the one i use to make mods, hence why the VFX may not appear on you whilst you edit, if it happens to you as well.

You would have to use the "Show" button then, and hide then respawn the effect with each press of "update" for things to work.
