Colors not saving to a modpack #63

Open SnepAxl opened 1 year ago

SnepAxl commented 1 year ago

When I made a workspace to change the VFX colors on a weapon (Abyssos Sickle) and tried to make it into a modpack, both Penumbra and Textools, the colors I changed via Particles>Animation>Color for each particle wasn't saved into the modpack. I thought this was a thing that would just work, unless I was mistaken. Did I miss a step? Or is this an issue

I can provide example pictures if needed

when you click export on any of the various windows (tmb/pap/vfx editor) they all bring up the same dialogue box. its a lil window that includes a list to include:

make sure the vfx (or avfx) is checked or else your not including what ever work you did in the vfx editor on the exported file.

If this isnt the issue another thing that could possibly be happening is some things have extra .avfx files that occur with the item/action that are not listed in the the tbm, as emitters/particles in the vfx window, or as those inline features in the pap window as well. You might need to find them by looking for everything item triggers ingame when loaded with the VFXedit's 'Log to Files option'. Open your /xllog window and see if there are more particles files on top of the base model your working on.

Not all colors stem from Particles>Animation>Color there are a lot more points that have influence on color.

If u have seen ur color change in vfx edior but not in the modpack then vfx editor probably had a stroke

What also could have happened is that another mod is overwriteing it or while testing ur mod u had vfx editor still open with changes.
