Add more log levels. Currently the default level has a lot of noise, by separating info/debug we can improve the situation.
Use structured logging: I have worked with https://github.com/sirupsen/logrus in the past and was pretty happy with it

Haven't worked with logrus personally but seem to cover everything we need (probably even more).
