This same official Heroku Circle CI Orb, provides ORb commands which ALL, are operations which :
trigger a Docker build inside the Heroku Platform, which is very time consuming (the time to build the docker image)
make use of git operations, which are known to be problematic and hard to understand sometimes, when it's about the Heroku platform. Very often, people get stuck because they just can't git push their commits to the Heroku git repository. If you're among them and you're both annoyed and don't care about Heroku's philosophical views about git, and only care about your git repository as the single source of truth, well then this Circle CI Orb is made for you.
So the Pokusio Circle CI Orb will be the first to solve all those problems, by providing Orb commands :
which reveal the real Heroku API behind the Heroku CLI
allow fast container based deployment, based on pre-exsiting docker images (which you build in the Circle CI Pipeline, and not in the Heroku Platform)
which are much richer, commands there making use of the Heroku API, give a lot more features
Why ?
So the Pokusio Circle CI Orb will be the first to solve all those problems, by providing Orb commands :
