Zum Relaunch meiner Website im September 2014 habe ich mich entschlossen, meine Arbeit daran inklusive ihrer stetigen Weiterentwicklung hier zu veröffentlichen. Es ist ein work-in-progress, nach guter alter „publish-early – publish often“-Tradition. Ich lade jeden ein, das Entstehen und Entwickeln meiner Site zu verfolgen, mir Anregungen zu geben und mich auf Fehler oder Bugs hinzuweisen.
Neben der Idee, dass es eventuell für andere Entwickler interessant sein kann, wie jemand Schritt für Schritt eine Website aufbaut, verspreche ich mir Vorteile von Githubs Issue-Tracking-System. Ich möchte es nutzen, um meine Arbeit zu planen und zu strukturieren. Vor allem, um nicht den Überblick zu verlieren. Außerdem kann es auch jeder andere nutzen, um mich auf Dinge zu stoßen, um die ich mich noch kümmern muss.
Hätte ich von Anfang diesen Schritt geplant, wäre auch alle bisherigen Commit-Messages auf Englisch anstatt auf Deutsch verfasst. So müssen alle, die des Deutschen nicht mächtig sind, auf die bisherigen Kommentare verzichten. Zukünftig wird alles zweisprachig verfasst.
To the occasion of my website’s recent relaunch in September 2014, I decided to publish my constant and ongoing work on it here on Github. It’s a work-in-progress following the fine tradition of “publish early — publish often”. I invite everyone to follow the creation and development of my site. Tell me your ideas and please point on errors and bugs.
So I had the idea it could be interesting for fellow devs how somebody creates a website step by step. Besides, I am looking forward to make use of Github’s issue tracking system to plan and to structure my work. Additionally, of course anyone can use it to point to things I have to take care of.
If I had planned this move from the beginning, my commit messages to this point would be in English instead of German only. But, as it is now, unfortunately everyone who is not able to read German will have to accept my apologies and start reading from this point in time. Future commit messages will be in German and English.
