Doors, Weapons, Perks and Players locations setups #31

Currently, players are deciding if they want weapons used for high rounds or not, perks, doors setup ect... The idea would be to make strategies testing easier for each type of player. For instance on Verrückt for doors setups :

This would require understanding what players want depending on the strategy, the challenges and the map, but would save a lot of time for every players.

Thanks.

Verruckt has kitchen to power, speed to trap, and trap to tommy all closed. This is done so the players can choose what strat they want to use including camping speed.

As for giving weapons, the defaults are what I believe are the most likely to be used. If you think any of the defaults should be changed let me know but as for none standard weapons players can simply use commands eg. /give ray_gun_zm.

Can you be more specific on what actual options you are suggesting?

As an example, on Moon, when you want to practice insta-kill rounds with the astronaut, you need to take the teleporter, buy the M16, get the astronaut to spawn, so to do that, you need to teleport during the round start delay, then teleport again to make the astronaut spawn, and wait for him to reach the room.

This is just an example, but if you wanted to practice specific strategies on Shi No Numa too, you would need to take your time to open the needed doors ect... Again, this is a bit annoying. I feel like the strat tester should provide presets for specific strategies. These presets would include weapons, perks, player location ect... I say perks because you would not pick the same perks on Moon co-op instas compared to solo.

Having more separated options would make it easier for players to do what they want to do. At the moment, sometimes, it is kind of a pain to navigate in the menus and finally get the right "setup" for each map. Some maps, like Nacht, are simpler, but some others, like Call of the Dead or Moon, depending on the strategy, are more complicated. Which is why I feel like an enhancement is necessary to do all that work for players, based on presets.

Cheats solve most of the issues you've brought up, for example, you can give yourself the m16 then no clip to the one window before the round even starts but I understand that not all players know commands to give weapons or no clip. I can add some basic commands to the readme as going to moon and back to get the m16 sounds truly awful..

Options to set perks and give weapons were in previous versions. Not sure when they got removed but they definitely can be readded and locations would also be nice for now I just add setviewpos command to the readme so people can do it themselves.

Toggling each and every perk on/off as a setting in the menu took up a lot of precious real-estate, so it was removed for a simple toggle between 'All', 'None', and 'Setup' to condense the options, and I removed the perk limit so you could buy your own if you needed a very specific perk setup as you run around the map getting things together. I didn't like the basic give weapon option as it was implemented at the time, so I removed it to make room for a different feature to have a UI toggle (and felt redundant with being able to just /give most things you would want anyway. I know @Zi0MIX is planning on working on revamping things with the weapon setups to accommodate much more, and provide some customizability through the config for power users who want something beyond the pre-defined options.

Is the amount of menu buttons limited ?
