Most of the time it's better for meele classes to not chase mobs which are running away because of multipull danger. Running away mobs should be sniped by ranged chars immediately.

Become a simple mob click drag yourself onto climbable object (table crate coffin bodybag etc) witness how nothing happens.

being pulled into the midnight portal makes that creature invisible. The sad part is that it seems like it cant take damage when invisible, is their a fix to this anyone know of?

Not sure if this is for all mobs but where i was at Zeth'Gor in hellfire the Bleeding hallow Necrolyte mobs did run through walls when they started running at low health.
