ACM BITS-Pilani, Goa Student chapter will serve as a hub of activity for ACM members and the computing community at large. We plan to provide seminars, lectures, learning forums, and networking opportunities with peers and experts across the computing spectrum.

Production build of this project is deployed at ACM Bits Goa.

Quick Start

This is the offical website for the ACM BITS Pilani Goa Chapter.

Installation

Follow these steps to install this project directory:

# clone the repo
$ git clone https://github.com/ACM-BITS-Pilani-Goa/OfficialWebsite.git

# go into app's directory:
$ cd officialwebsite

# install dependencies
$ npm install

Starting the app

Follow these steps to run the app on your local machine:

# go into app's directory:
$ cd officialwebsite

# in a terminal, start the react app
$ npm run start

Contribution Guidelines

1. Fork the repo on GitHub.
2. Clone the project to your own machine.
3. Commit changes to your own branch.
4. Push your work back up to your fork.
5. Submit a pull request. (Make sure you merge before you make a pull request!)
6. If you're a Hacktoberfest participant, make sure you have registered on the Hacktoberfest platform.
7. Feel free to create new issues to address problems on the website. However, spam issues will be taken down.
8. In case of doubt, just ask!

Pull Request Guidelines

1. The subject should be a short one line summary of the change you've made.
2. The extended description should include a deatiled description of the changes you've made and also a list of all the files you've made changes in.
3. One pull request should cater to only one change. *A change may include multiple file changes that are essential to solving the issue/change.
4. Do not unecessarily spam, your PR won't be accepted.
5. Merged PRs will be reflected on the Development build.
