It is resolved by introducing the ForceIdentifier attribute of the Organization object class in NETN-ORG.
The proposed updated NETN-ORG defines the class "Organization" which includes an attribute "ForceIdentifier" which is the RPR-FOM equivalent. This data can be used by federates when registering Simulation entities (Physical, Aggregate) to produce a valid RPR-FOM ForceIdentifier. The RPR-FOM ForceIdentifier provides a way to represent relationship to a "Reference Force".
NETN-ORG provides information on the force relationship of one unit (A) with another unit (B), but does not specify what force can be termed as the friendly force. Currently each federate application has to be told (configured) with this information. E.g. the relationship between A and B may be hostile, but this does not provide information whether A or B is the friendly force. Eventually this information may be needed or required by a federate application to initialize the ForceIdentifier attribute in RPR-FOM entities, or to update the force identifier in the APP6 symbol identifier to reflect the role of the application and the units it manages.
Propose to add a class as a subclass of ORG_Root that holds the reference force name. There is generally at most one instance of this class. The reference force is the name of the force that is considered to be the friendly force. If provided, the NETN-ORG force relations will be w.r.t. this reference force.
