Upgrade to RSpec 3 #38

Inspired by @agilecreativity's pull request #37, the major changes are as follows:

No longer rely on monkey patching by using RSpec.describe
Use the new expect syntax for assertions
Use the new expect syntax for mocking and stubbing

I'm not a huge fan of the expect syntax myself. I get the reasoning behind it, I simply find it difficult to write and slightly more difficult to read. Still, I haven't used it that much, so why not give it another shot :).
