OVERVIEW

Arweave is a decentralized and permanent store of humanity's valuable knowledge and history. Data is the new oil, as The Economist famously asserted, and Arweave is its permanent home -- secured by cryptography and sustainable economics. 90% of all data in existence was created in the last two years, and much of that was in data streams. Whether it is stock price data, tweets from world leaders, or meteorological data, this competition is to find the most valuable and important data streams in the world and add them to the Arweave network.

Permafeeds (Data feeds on the Arweave) have interesting properties. They are permanently available, which means that every data point they have ever provided is transparent and auditable. This allows developers that build applications that depend on them to verify the reliability and integrity of the streams. They are also available through a decentralized and highly replicated storage network, ensuring extremely high availability and uptime.

This contest is to build and run a bot that will archive a data stream for a month (or as long as you can, if you start later). The data can be anything you like but will be judged on its potential usefulness to others.

This contest is to build and run a bot that will archive a data stream for a month (or as long as you can, if you start later). The data can be anything you like but will be judged on its potential usefulness to others and how easily people can query and use the data.

I am going to archive weather data from at least 1 api source and very possibly from multiple sources 2) benesjan has started work.

I am going to create a bot which detects specified politicians in the video stream, saves the video parts in which the person appears and uploads them to the network. Could be useful as protection against Deepfakes by having an archive of what that person said in the news at that time. 3) jacobmakarsky has started work.

I am going to create a bot that will archive the tweets from as many politicians in the USA as possible for 1 month. The data then can be searched by voters to find a politicians standpoint on any topic, helping voters discover who aligns with their beliefs best. This data is useful, for example, through an AI's capability of scanning the archived data and discovering what type of rhetoric is typically used for different party members, what areas of the country's politicians are most involved in what topics, etc. 4) sunnymodi21 has started work.

I will archive weather data with the capability to select locations 5) oatrick has started work.

Integrate feature into my Arweave article web scraper to provide a flow of content from popular sources. 6) nelth-fr has started work.

I've build a bot that query data from Twitter's API, repo : https://github.com/nelth-fr/Datastream-Archiver

I'm currently building a list of heads of state (North American and Europe) that might be worth storing. When it is automated I plan to query economists and tech leader :) 7) rezachow has started work.
