Replace Steering servo #191

Open Carolf27 opened 1 year ago

Carolf27 commented 1 year ago

The steering servo that came with the car doesn't have enough torque for the load of the all car, so we need to replace it with a new one with higher torque

Carolf27 commented 1 year ago

image These are the calculations we ( @Carolf27 @joaoafc ) made to determine the necessary torque for the servo So now we are looking for servos with a torque of ~20kgcm

Carolf27 commented 1 year ago

After some reasearch of servos with 20kgcm available we chose this one with 30kgcm https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1943129663.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.3681e8e0uvJwUz&algo_pvid=8bbb8ba7-18dd-48fa-928e-6ef350a661ce&aem_p4p_detail=2023041208160913823958141364440024632119&algo_exp_id=8bbb8ba7-18dd-48fa-928e-6ef350a661ce-0&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21EUR%2126.25%2110.43%21%21%21%21%21%40212272e216813125697962592d071b%2112000029328684232%21sea%21PT%210&curPageLogUid=XSR2mqW8ECIU&ad_pvid=2023041208160913823958141364440024632119_1&ad_pvid=2023041208160913823958141364440024632119_1

Maybe we should opt for the 40kgcm one because of the small price difference

the issue wont be closed for the moment being, there is still the the need to calibrate the servo via programming
