Project Idea/Theme

• We are creating a website with various tools to help students in school with their daily routine.
• These tools include a Calculator, a Calendar Generator, an Event Scheduler, etc.
• The Calculator includes not only simple functions, like Add, Subtract, Multiply, & Divide, but Advanced functions, like Fibonacci, Factorial, Square Root, Power, etc.
• The Calendar Generator allows the user to input a year to receive the calendar for the inputted year, along with important holidays, as well as the dates of the holidays, during the inputted year.
• The Event Scheduler will allow students to add a title to events, add a description for events, set a date/time for events, receive a notification for events, etc.

REST API/SQL Database

• We will use an API to try to connect our Event Scheduler with Canvas.
• An SQL Database will be utilized to store the data for each student.
• The "Overflow" group is creating a similar project, so we will share ideas regarding the REST API.

• Our main website is deployed on Heroku.
