Clone the forked repository in your computer.
$ git clone https://github.com/<your-username>/url-minify.git
$ cd url-minify
Add a remote (upstream) to the original project repository
$ git remote add upstream https://github.com/BRAVO68WEB/url-minify.git
$ git fetch upstream
$ git checkout main
$ git merge upstream/main
This makes your fork up to date with the original project repo.
Go the folder where you want to contribute:
$ cd frontend
OR cd backend
Install the dependencies and run the development server using:
$ npm install
$ npm run start
Make your changes. Then, stage and commit them using:
$ git add .
$ git commit -m "This is a commit message"
Push your changes to your forked repository.
$ git push -u origin main
Go to your forked repository on GitHub. Create a pull request from the πContribute
button provided there.
Contribute -> Open pull request -> Create pull request. (Make sure you write a detailed description of the changes you have made.)
