The events defined in the current v3.x lua api should be invoked in the new protocol.

[ ] Make one of these checks for each of the events.
[ ] Ensure the cancellability of events is transferred to this new implementation, same with argument count and position, as much as possible. Open new issues here for any events that cannot be done the same way.
