Can't install newest version #2

OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, German RAM: 16GB CPU: Core i7-4800MQ @2.7GHz Y: VeraCryptVolume, ~200GB free, 450 GB total (latest version of VC)

Not used VeraCrypt before but will give it a try and see if the issue is related to it. Great to see TrueCrypt got a successor!

I've tested it in a Windows 7 VM with VeraCrypt 1.16 (64-bit).

My volume properties are:

Size:                 1GB
Type:                 Normal
Hidden Volume:        No
Encryption Algorithm: AES
Key Size:             256 bits
Block Size:           128 bits
Mode of Operation:    XTS
PKCS-5 PRF:           HMAC-SHA-512

No errors.

Will retry on a Win 8.1 VM the next days.

The retest with a Win 8.1 VM does also work without issues.

@wiesl Could you try to give me more information about your setup?
