Rune System

Explanation

Runes are a sub-set of magic that can be used with your own magic attribute to add properties to your magic. Most in the manga are shown to give just plain more strength making it "true" magic. But it has been mentioned multiple times it could do other stuff like making it so other allies do not take damage of your spells.

For the mod

The core idea of the rune system is to

  1. Do a mission/quest to be able to use runes
  2. Depending on your level you can add 1 up to 3 properties to each magic spell as you choose.
  3. Using that spell will make a cool particle/visual effect with runes + do the extra rune property

    Properties

    There are for the time being a few properties I can thing of:

    • Extra damage
    • Less cooldown
    • Less charge time
    • Extra side effects (longer burn, damage over time etc.)
    • Completely wacky other effects (think Magna with his badass soul chain effect) that could be cannon
    • Auto aim
    • Extended duration / range
    • Visual desynchronization, visuals for the spell either go in a completely different direction from the actual hitbox of the move, or just lag behind / go in front of it. (can see the actual hitbox if you have a sensing ability)
    • Increased size
    • Increased speed, stackable, works for dash type moves as well
    • Focused blast, any projectile/beam type move will have it's size reduced by a large amount but damage increased
    • Boomerang, spell comes back to user after a certain amount of blocks traveled or after hitting a block
    • Curve, spell launches out and curves either to the left or right a certain amount of blocks
    • Self destruction, certain moves become explosions around the user instead, self destructive moves damage the user as well (increased size/damage work on the explosion too).
    • Final Flash, uses up all of the user's mana on one spell. Size, damage and speed increased based on amount of mana used up. Mana regeneration will be completely cancelled for a few minutes.

      More explanation

      It is really supposed to be a thing aside from the core magic system so you can have wacky effects by combining stuff.

now THATS the exact suggestions I wanted to hear, love the idea maybe gather a few properties you like and put them in one big comment so I can even add them to the main one
