Hello! You checked the box that this app can run on raspberry pi. Have you tried installing it yourself, or did you just see that it is possible, or are you really not sure if it is possible to install on Raspberry Pi?

Good morning!

I have had it installed on my raspberry pi 4 for 1 year. Also, there are forums where you see people using it as well. Recently I got outdated and I had to remove it. And oddly enough I'm not being able to reinstall it. Two days ago I installed Pi-Apps with Box86 and Wine to see if I was able to re-install Metatrader but I'm still not able to, I'll keep trying. I wish you have the app in the catalog, it would solve many head problems :)

Greetings. Cayetano.

Hello, I second the request. I have a pi 3B and have spent 10's of hours with no success. I've tried P.O.L. and guides from seemingly all the interwebs. So an updated method with your ease of install would be great. Thanks.

Honestly I would not be confortable with an application involving trading of real currency being on my appstore (lucky for you, Botspot owns pi-apps, not me).

The appliction and website looking like they came straight out of Windows XP does not give me very much confidence and neither does the many posts about users getting malware with their metratrader install (though it does look like these were non-official installs).

Having any application run through wine which inturn requires code to be emulated with box86 can introduce a lot of stability issues.

@sorul I was wondering if you remember any information about your system when it was working? What operating system and version were you using? Where did you get the working version of wine from?

Anything else you can think of. I have tried so many different combinations but I think version conflicts are creating the problems.

Thank you

@JD-2006 I finally managed to install it. The trick was: 1) Uninstall Box86 and Wine 2) Install only Wine. Internally it will install Box86 (apparently this makes a difference) 3) Download the installer: https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/metaquotes.software.corp/mt4/mt4setup.exe?utm_source=www.metatrader4.com&utm_campaign=download 4) Install using Wine.

@sorul Thank you for your response. I am still having troubles. Maybe because I am on Pi 3B? Sometimes Metatrader installs but does not run, other times it will not install.

@JD-2006 I have a Pi 4 with this architecture, I can't tell you what your problem might be.

@sorul Thanks for the info. Out of the probably 100 configurations I tried, the only one to work was downloading the old discontinued Exegear chroot program. It runs slow but I can use it. Maybe an easy working pi-app one day. :)

Maybe this could be adapted? https://github.com/gmag11/MetaTrader5-Docker-Image/blob/main/Metatrader/start.sh
