more tests that provide tests to ensure incorrectly specified yaml files are caught quickly:

[ ] scenario names should be unique
[ ] plot_group names should be unique
[ ] all specified folders should be checked for existence while parsing the yaml
[ ] test with specified and unspecified folders$CRSSDIR
[ ] test different misspelled keywords
