Our current event system works but is tied almost completely to competing bands
It would be nice to be able to produce a "marching bands calendar" containing all of our events PLUS those of member bands - so fans of marching bands have 1 place to look instead of many websites
However, as these events will probably not be contests, they won't need the full blown event experience with registrations and judges and captions and scores
The fix for this may be to have base event types - like Contest / Concert / Tattoo - that have different layouts on the Event page, then allowing our user-definable Event Types to inherit from these
