RimModelled is a mod manager for RimWorld. It allows you to enable and reorder mods, and provides features to organize them.

Features

Installation

Presently, RimModelled only works on macOS with Steam. If you fall into that bucket, then you can download the latest from the releases page.

If you don't fall into that bucket, not to worry! RimModelled should work fine with Windows, Linux, and the DRM-free version. However, I haven't been able to test them yet. If you want to be a guinea pig, open up an issue!

Developers

If you want to compile from source, you'll need Node and Yarn installed. Once you have those, it should be as simple as this to run the app:

yarn install
yarn start

If you have a non-default "steamapps" path, you need to specify it as an environment variable. On Windows, this might look like this:

set STEAMAPPS=D:\Steam\steamapps
yarn start

Future

The roadmap for RimModelled is flexible, but I'd like to add these features in the future:

If you would like to see something in RimModelled, let me know via an issue.

Community

RimModelled is open source software licensed under the MIT license. Contributions from the RimWorld community are welcomed, and all contributors are expected to follow the guidelines set forth in the Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct.

FAQ

How does this compare to Fluffy Mod Manager?

You can freely use both alongside each other, and they won't conflict (just make sure to reload RimModelled after quitting RimWorld). RimModelled provides a variety of features that aren't in Fluffy Mod Manager, such as folders and notes. RimModelled also exists outside of RimWorld, so you can edit your mod list without waiting for RimWorld to boot up. This is especially useful when combined with the "import mods from save" feature when you are switching between colonies. RimModelled does not have the cross-promotion features, nor the deeper workshop integration that Fluffy Mod Manager has. RimModelled does not have colored mod lists.
