I've noticed that sometimes (quite often) when I fold the beamformed data, there are whole coarse channels which show no data. As a test, I tried re-beamforming the exact same data and folding the same way. On this second try, the missing channel could be seen. Therefore, the issue is not consistent, but seems to caused by the beamformer as it affects both PSRFITS and VDIF.
The below examples are using VCSBeam v4.2-22 on the vdif_fix pull request branch (the most recent code).
Example 1. Top left: PSRFITS/DSPSR first run. Top right: PSRFITS/DSPSR second run. Bottom left: VDIF/DSPSR first run. Bottom right: VDIF/DSPSR second run. i.e. The missing channels appear in both the PSRFITS and VDIF outputs.
Example 2. Another occurance of missing channel in PSRFITS/DSPSR (left) and VDIF/DSPSR (right).
