I took another look, they are using the frame part of a pair of safety glasses, hoping someone has one in their shop we can look at, if we 3d model it, it could be mass produced rather quickly. We could even possibly look at using plastic rod and heat forming them around a mold?
Here is the un-assembled version for half the price: https://www.medexsupply.com/infection-control-protective-apparel-protective-eyewear-medline-safety-assembled-glasses-50-cs-x_pid-89368.html
Then we just print the nose piece, and likely use a piece or rubber at the end? or?
I'm also wondering how well this would do against the skin on the nose piece (3m's rubber tape, 0.76mm thick) https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-3m-products/~/Scotch-Rubber-Splicing-Tape-23/?N=5002385+8709319+8710676+8730567+3294318588&preselect=8710748+8744072&rt=rud
We should look at this design, the print I believe is drastically reduced. Keep in mind if the time is cut, also the print material is cut, therefore more Shields can be produced. It appears many more.
