[BUG]notification but no new messages

It shows 1 notification waiting at the top of my page, however there are no new messages unread or otherwise. There are also no deleted or ended chats that I can see. The notification remains at 1 no matter what chats I open to check. It also remains wether I am on desktop or mobile.

I am not sure if there is a message pending that I cannot see or if there is some error on my end. I just want to know whether I actually have a pending message or not. My inbox has not changed at all that I can see.

I ended and deleted a few old, unactive chats and the notification went away...?
