Learning Istio

Overview

The topics covered are the following:

• Prerequisite: Setting up the Kubernetes Cluster and Your Local Machine.
• Setting Istio: Setting up Istio.
• Deployment: Deploy a Microserice on Kubernetes Cluster.
• Telemetry: Deployments of various addons that integrate with Istio. they are essential to making the most of Istio's observability features.
• External Authorization: How to set up an Istio authorization policy using a new value for the action field, CUSTOM, to delegate the access control to an external authorization system.

It is also nice to dive into these topics but not required:

• Nginx Ingress: Setting up Nginx Ingress Controller.
• Envoy: Getting to Know Envoy.
