Trippin

Tripping is the must have travel companion. Complete with currency conversions, a weather station, photo journals of your travels with mapped out positions of your photos, points of interest near you. This app makes your travel experience and sharing much easier.

Problem – When traveling you need to switch between multiple apps such as A currency converter, your photos, directions (places to go to)( and it is hard to no which direction to go to), weather, and possibly reminders.

Solution A one stop app for all your travel need.

  1. A to-do list for you to cross off things you planned on doing that day

  1. A weather station to see the forecast for the next 10 days

  1. A finances section to do simple currency conversions, see what you have spent your money on(categories), upload or take pictures of receipts with OCR, and find nearby places to convert currency

  1. A photo map which allows you to take pictures or import pictures and drag and drop them on your map so you can remember where that picture was taken. Photos are saved in core data by their URL location in your phones memory and is updated whenever photo is dragged. All photos within your map can be viewed in a gallery or enlarged to full screen

  1. A section for seeing what is near me with option to filter by distance and category

  2. Additional problem, not knowing what direction something is in. Solution AR mapping which shows what direction all points of interest around you are at so you know which direction to head into instead of checking you map to see if you are going the right way.

  1. Problem, being able to leave you mark on a special location you have visited. Solution whenever you a near a special location you will have access to a location based message board to write a small message but can only be read or accessed when near location.
