JavaScript libraries to:
web3js-eea library will be deprecated on December 31st 2021, date from when we will stop supporting the project.
web3js-eea library is deprecated and replaced by web3js-quorum that offers wider compatibility with the Quorum stack including both Besu and GoQuorum.
From now on, we encourage all users with active projects using web3js-eea to migrate to web3js-quorum. Please refer to migration instructions.
We will continue to support web3js-eea in particular fixing bugs until the end of 2021.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the ConsenSys protocol engineering team on #Discord or by email.
web3.js-eea issues are tracked in GitHub. See our contribution guidelines for more detail on searching and creating issues.
The Besu documentation describes how to use the web3.js-eea libraries.
These libraries have been tested with the following versions of Besu and Orion Besu version | Orion version | web3js-eea version |
---|---|---|
1.5.3 | 1.6 | 0.10.0 |
1.5.2 | 1.6 | 0.9.0 |
1.5.1 | 1.6 | 0.9.0 |
Note that the tests rely on the values in example/keys.js, so revert or stash any local changes to that file before running the tests. To run all the tests:
$ npm test
Sample Output
> npm test
> eeajs@1.0.0 test /home/vstevam/eeajs/eeajs-fork/eeajs
