Title: controlling multiple kato turnouts on layout

Description: Hello, I'm new to the model railroad world. Right now just running a DC layout on Kato untrack with 8 turnouts. Ultimately will be going to DCC . I have been through all your documentation and probably missed the specific details on how to control multiple turnouts using the Command Station EX. Can this done on the same Arduino Mega and motor shield or is addition hardware required? And yes I'm confused. Best Regards-Mike

Well command station can control a variety of turnout types but you are going to have to build individual power drivers for each turnout because an arduino cannot pulse enough current to throw a kato turnout. We don't currently have pulse-based turnout control in the software it's in the plan, and not particularly difficult to add as long as you have built the hardware... I suggest you Google "arduino kato turnout control" for construction ideas and get back to us when you need the software advice.
